USE: To file and polish nails

FOR: Cats and Dogs

SIZE: 0.8'' x 7.9''

HOW TO USE:

- Hold the dog or cat securely with the paw extended. The pet should be calm and comfortable. Always be prepared to stop temporarily if the pet resists the nail filing.
- Work the nails one at a time.
- Hold by the bamboo handle and gently apply the convex side of the file to the edge of the nail. Perform back and forth movements slowly on the tip of the nail.
- Repeat this process several times until you have smoothed the sharp tip. Do this gently and carefully, avoiding filing too much, which could cause injury.

- When you have removed all the length you need, gently apply the file in circular motions. Use around the tip several times to buff it smooth. Repeat the entire process on each of the dog's or cat's nails.

BENEFITS:

- If the nails overgrow uncontrollably, they can deform the way our pet steps and even dig into the plantar if they are born curved.
- Nails can also be filed more closely than with nail clippers, which means less time between pedicures.
- Smooth, rounded nails cause less damage. Cutting dog nails can leave the end of the plate sharp or jagged, especially if the clipper is blunt. Filing allows the nail to be rounded at the end.
- Fewer scratches between human and pet. Proper filing can prevent family members from being scratched by the dog or cat when they are excited.
- Dogs can also benefit greatly from having smoothly rounded back nails. This way they do not damage their skin when scratching because of itching.
- The dog is comfortable and relaxed during filing. With the dog nail file and cat nail file, treating the nails is gentler and produces less anxiety in dogs. This is in contrast to nail clippers, which tend to squeeze the dog's nails. Many animals do not like this feeling, as they find it intimidating and stressful.
