Care for the Bull Mastiff

  • Maintenance: Brushing with rubber mitten once a week and monthly bathing is recommended.
Haircut: Shorthair breeds should not be given a haircut. A renewal of the coat by brushing with a rubber mitten, removing excess shedding and lightly grooming with scissors to accentuate the lines is sufficient.
Recommended grooming appointments: 1 monthly bath is sufficient to prevent excessive shedding.
Special attention: Elbow pads (use Dfender).

¿How is the Bull Mastiff?

The Bullmastiff is a large, muscular breed of dog, known for its fierceness and natural protectiveness towards its owner and home. Despite their intimidating appearance, Bullmastiffs are very sweet and friendly dogs that enjoy human companionship and are ideal for home life.

These dogs have a sturdy, muscular body with a soft, dense coat that requires little maintenance. They are very protective dogs and need to be close to their owner and other animals or people to feel safe and happy.

It is important to note that Bullmastiffs are large and muscular dogs, so they require adequate and sufficient space to move and play. In addition, due to their protective nature, it is important to socialise them properly from an early age to avoid aggressive or dominant behaviour towards other people and animals.

In general, Bullmastiffs are an excellent choice for those looking for a loyal and protective companion. However, it is important to keep in mind that this breed requires a responsible and committed owner who is willing to invest time and effort in training and socialisation.
