1. BATHING

Bathing is essential to maintain our cat's hygiene, eliminate bad odors, and remove excess grease.
Conditioner will restore skin hydration and prevent the body from over-secreting oil.
When we cannot bathe or our cat rejects water, we can perform a dry cleaning with damp cleaning gloves.

2. HYGIENE

Ear hygiene is fundamental. Removing earwax (cerumen) and keeping the ear canals clean and ventilated will prevent possible infections and itching.
The buildup of eye discharge (sleep/gunk) and dirt in the nose is common; cleaning these areas with finger cots (wipes) almost daily will be essential.
Having a breath freshener for cats with bad breath can help with coexistence.

For proper ear hygiene, we will use Dips Finger Cots for Ears. These remove earwax (cerumen) and dirt from the external ear area.

What is the Sphynx Cat Like?

Origin: Canada.
Characteristics: Hairless (though may have a fine layer of fuzz), wrinkled skin.
Personality: Very affectionate, needs warmth in winter and frequent cleaning.

Although it has no visible hair, the Sphynx requires a more demanding hygiene routine than other breeds. Its skin produces more oil (grease), which can cause dirt and bad odor if not controlled.

Frequent cleaning is recommended with alcohol-free wipes or baths with specific gentle cleansing gels for hairless skin.

Furthermore, it may require light moisturizers to prevent dryness.
