Caring for a Pomeranian
- Maintenance: Brush a couple of times a week depening on the length and volume of the coat and bathe monthly.
- Brushing: Pomeranians have a dense coat which requires proper brushing to prevent knotting. Brush at least once a week with the appropriate brush and comb.
- Grooming: This breed is double coated anad should not be shaved, they also go through a natural coat change twice a year. It should be brushed and bathed to reduce shedding at home and tidied with scissors to maintain a good figure without compromising the length and volume.
- Special Attention: Pay attention to protect the nose and paw pads from dryness to prevent cracked skin which can lead to wounds.
- Recommended Grooming Appoitnments: Bathe once a month to maintain the shedding at home to a minimum; and to ensure the structure of the coatis proper.

1. BRUSHING
- The Pomeranian experiences two shedding seasons a year.
