Cares for the Pomeranian

  • Maintenance: Weekly brushing and monthly bathing with special attention during spring and fall is recommended.
  • Haircut: Since it is a double-coated dog, its hair should not be cut for its health. They naturally experience two annual molts. It should be brushed, lightly de-shedded, and bathed to prevent excessive shedding at home. Only use scissors to clean the silhouette without removing volume or length.
  • Recommended grooming appointments: One monthly bath performed by a professional will prevent excessive shedding.
  • Special attention: Tear stains (use of Pretty Eyes), wear on the paw pads (use of Dfender)

How is the Pomeranian?

The Pomeranian is a small and active breed of dog that is known for its dense and shiny coat. They are very friendly and playful, making them excellent companions for families with children. Additionally, they are intelligent and easy to train, making them ideal for people who are looking for a well-trained and obedient dog. Despite their small size, Pomeranians have a strong protective instinct and will do what it takes to protect their family. However, it is important to note that this breed requires a significant amount of exercise and attention, so it is not suitable for people with a very busy schedule.
