Our ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) strategy reflects our efforts to contribute to a more sustainable and just future, taking into account environmental, social and governance factors. For us, responsibility is not just a word, but a series of concrete actions and projects that positively impact our environment. We strive to manage resources in a way that meets today's necessities without compromising the requirements of the future. This includes the impact on the environment, our social surroundings or the implementation of company transparency policies.

Our dedication to the environment is evidenced by our use of biodegradable and vegan materials and eco-sustainable packaging designs. We have significantly reduced the use of plastic and improved the energy efficiency of our facilities, including the installation of photovoltaic panels and LED lighting systems. On the social side, we promote labour inclusion and support vulnerable communities, while on the governance side, we strengthen data protection and cybersecurity. These comprehensive actions demonstrate our commitment to sustainability and corporate responsibility.

Below are some of the initiatives we have implemented in our operations to deliver on our ESG commitment.

Environmental 

Eco Friendly Products and Processes

Our products and manufacturing processes are made in an environmentally friendly way. We use materials that are biodegradable, vegan and free from animal testing, thus contributing to the conservation of the natural environment. At all stages of production, we seek to minimise our ecological footprint and promote sustainable practices that protect and preserve natural resources.  

This commitment is particularly reflected in our cosmetics line. We ensure that ingredients are ethically and naturally sourced, avoiding the use of environmentally harmful chemicals. 

Eco-friendly packaging 

We have developed a new packaging for our line of tools, which stands out for its ecofriendly character. As well as the packaging, the new bamboo handle is FSC certified, guaranteeing that it comes from responsible sources. This initiative not only reduces the environmental impact by reducing the amount of plastic used, but also promotes the use of renewable and sustainable materials. We recycle all the cardboard used in the packaging of our products (inner and master carton) and, for example, by 2023 we will recycle more than 11 TN with this system. 

In addition, we have implemented the highest energy-certified enclosures in our new facilities, allowing us to further reduce our environmental footprint and promote sustainable building practices. These efforts reflect our ongoing commitment to protecting the environment and taking concrete steps to promote a greener and more equitable future. 

Energy Efficiency  

By using state-of-the-art materials and technologies, we have achieved a significant reduction in the energy consumption of our facilities. We have installed photovoltaic panels with a nominal power of 100 kW, which allows us to generate approximately 50% of the energy we use at our corporate headquarters. In addition, we implemented LED lighting systems and improved thermal insulation, which contributes to greater energy efficiency and reduced operating costs.  

To promote sustainable mobility, we have installed electric chargers both for internal use and for customers visiting our shop. These chargers facilitate the use of electric vehicles, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions associated with transportation. Our commitment to energy efficiency is reflected not only in reducing our environmental impact, but also in promoting responsible practices among our employees and customers.  

New Corporate Headquarters 

In the project for our new corporate headquarters, we refurbished an old industrial building to convert it into a modern and efficient centre. The optimisation of energy resources, sustainability and respect for the environment are key to this project. The new light façade, together with the use of top quality materials, has allowed us to reduce energy consumption by 35% in summer and 25-30% in winter. This transformation has not only modernised our facilities, but has also turned the building into an example of sustainable architecture and energy efficiency.  

In addition, the refurbishment of the industrial building included the installation of advanced energy management and climate control systems, which automatically adjust to maximise efficiency. Green spaces and naturally lit work areas were also incorporated, improving the well-being of our team and reducing the need for artificial lighting. This holistic approach reinforces our commitment to sustainability and demonstrates that it is possible to combine modernity with respect for the environment.  

Renove Plan 

The Renove Plan is a programme that allows customers to turn in their used dryers and receive a discount towards the purchase of a new one. This initiative not only helps to save money, but also reduces e-waste and supports responsible consumption practices. We take care of reconditioning those dryers, making sure they meet our quality and safety standards, in order to make them available for sale again.  

By participating in the Renove Plan, customers actively contribute to the circular economy, extending the useful life of products and reducing the amount of e-waste that ends up in landfills. In addition, this programme reinforces our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility by offering a practical and environmentally friendly solution for appliance refurbishment.  

Social

Work Inclusion 

At Artero, we believe in inclusion and supporting vulnerable communities. We have been recognised as an inclusive company in Maresme by the Centre for Training and Prevention (CFP) at the TecnoCampus. Thanks to the support of the CFP, we have hired employees with permanent contracts from groups in vulnerable situations and at risk of social exclusion. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment for all. This recognition not only reflects our commitment to corporate social responsibility, but also demonstrates our firm intention to actively contribute to the well-being and integration of vulnerable people in our community.

Data Protection 

On the governance front, we have strengthened our data protection policies to ensure that all customer and partner information is protected in accordance with the strictest regulations. We have implemented advanced cybersecurity systems and rigorous data handling procedures, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information.  

Our commitment to data protection not only complies with applicable regulations, but also reflects our dedication to maintaining the trust and security of those who interact with us. We continually review and update our practices to adapt to legislative and technological changes, ensuring that we always operate to the highest standards of data protection.
